Faith, Bridging, and Belonging

To build a multiracial movement powerful enough to achieve a just and equitable democracy, we must reach beyond traditional alliances.

Organizers across the country are working to assemble a broad, pro-democracy coalition made up of ideologically diverse groups. We are building a “bigger we” by supporting these creative approaches, which recognize the fundamental human need for belonging and invest in the agency of everyday people. We recognize that the work of freedom is spiritual and, at times, difficult. That’s why we also invest in efforts to nourish spiritual capacities for movement leaders and support faith groups with the power to forge belonging and drive social change.
