Reproductive Health, Medical Research, and Community Grants

Reproductive Health

Reproductive healthcare is vital to a functioning democracy. We continue our longstanding support for initiatives that protect and expand access to essential reproductive healthcare.

Medical Research

We support cutting-edge medical research on Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and diabetes. We also support the Picower Institute of Learning and Memory at MIT, whose researchers are advancing our understanding of how the brain works.

Science is a key pillar of civil society, and it’s under attack. We are exploring ways to support scientists, their research, and their freedom to discover the truth and make it public as an essential prerequisite for a democratic society.

Community Grants

Sustaining community gathering spaces and expanding opportunities for young people are more important than ever. We support institutions that engage students in the arts and sciences, provide equitable access to parks, strengthen our cultural heritage, and serve as beacons of civic life.

These three grant areas promote human flourishing and inform our current grantmaking with lessons from our first decade about partnership and collaboration.
